About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven individual with leadership potential to grow with us as the company grows. While this role begins as a hands-on expert working as part of project teams, the selected candidate will have an opportunity to shape, influence, and grow Northlight Solution Group’s Business Analysis/Change Management Practice from the ground up. Filling a dual role as a Sr Business Analyst and Change Management Consultant, you will don the appropriate hat based on the need and phase of the project. Some projects may require you to fill both roles when appropriate over the course of the project. In this role, you will be part of a cohesive project team, following a hybrid Agile model in the execution of solutions on the Salesforce platform. The benefit of combining the two roles into one resource is that the intimate knowledge you will have with the requirements and process flows will help inform the documentation of key pain points and creation of the change management strategy and plan.
The Sr Business Analyst is responsible for documenting, refining and maintaining requirements in collaboration with the solution architects on the project team as well as the product owner and key stakeholders on the client team.
The Change Management Consultant is responsible for creating a strategy and plan for enablement in alignment with the goals of the project and the company's culture. The objective of this role is to not only drive adoption but to document and realize value creation and ROI, achieving positive results for the client and contributing to a positive customer experience.
Job Summary
-Skilled and experienced Sr Business Analyst proficient in Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud, Sales and Service Cloud and Salesforce Administration.
-Specializes in gathering and maintaining requirements for project portfolios, assisting with functional and technical design, and testing new technologies.
-Acts as a liaison between various clients’ teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, etc.) and internal delivery project teams.
-Plays a pivotal role in optimizing Salesforce use to enhance customer experience, streamline processes, and drive business growth.
-Requires deep understanding of Salesforce functionalities and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
-Acts as a liaison between Business technology Go-To-Market [GTM] and business functions to analyze complex business problems.
-Provides techno-functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing cost-effective systems that meet user requirements.
-Translates business needs into actionable requirements by gathering information to define solutions and drive clarity.
-Solution focus areas include Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Lightning, Content Management), forecasting, sales compensation systems, custom solution design, and integrations.
-Works with the Business Operations team to architect solutions using appropriate technologies.
-Plans and manages small and medium projects in coordination with technical and business teams.
Requirements
Responsibilities in the Business Analyst Role
Collaborate across multiple external stakeholders and lines of business to capture current state business processes, identify pain points,
Partner with the implementation team to define target state business processes along with associated system features to achieve business objectives
Build relationships, challenge current thinking, and partner with key client stakeholders
Learn about and familiarize yourself with the client's business model, key objectives, and long-term vision
Lead user story workshops with business stakeholders, partnering with the client's business lead (product owner) to prioritize requirements and secure approval to execute
Ensure all user stories are complete with acceptance criteria and that they align with the scope of work, refining requirements through the execution phase
Maintain a prioritized backlog of requirements to pull from as capacity on the development team allows
Document business process workflows, identifying key areas for improvement, leveraging the features of the platform - i.e. "pain points"
Change Management Consultant Role
Develop a robust Change Management strategy tailored to the client's organizational needs, culture, and project scope
Create a detailed OCM plan that includes stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and adoption initiatives
Perform impact assessments, documenting personas and
Some creation of training content as needed
Conduct train-the-trainers with individuals on the client team, enabling them to train end users
Craft communications based on the need of the client
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
5+ years in a Business Analyst or similar role, supporting Salesforce platform, including writing requirements using user story format
5+ years experience in Agile framing for software development
2+ years experience in Organizational Change Management, executing enablement plans that drive adoption of digital transformations
Knowledge of ADKAR and Prosci or similar change management approach
5+ years of experience with declarative development on the Salesforce platform as an administrator.
Experience designing and supporting large scale, technically complex solutions on Salesforce and associated ecosystems.
Previous hands-on experience working with Salesforce CPQ and CPQ Advanced Approvals.
Good understanding of software testing with knowledge on building test plans and executing them in unit, functional and user acceptance test cycles.
Ability to excel in a fast-growing/fast-paced environment delivering accuracy where adaptability is imperative.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and experience interacting with executive level contacts
Demonstrated understanding of Change Management processes.
Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously; workload will be a blend of small, medium, and large projects as well as ongoing production support.
Excellent problem-solving and collaborative skills.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a team based environment
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant and Salesforce Administrator Certifications preferred.
Salesforce CPQ Specialist Certification or Business Analyst Certification is a plus.
Scrum and/or Agile certification a plus
Development of business process flows
Change Management certification a plus
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel up to 5% (Global conditions permitting)
Ability to work on a laptop and at a desk for extended periods
